The Southcliff amenities are designed to harmonize with nature and to promote a sense of community.

These amenities are available to all residents and are accessible to every lot. They include trails with scenic overlooks, covered pavilions, playgrounds, and parks.

Southcliff has a fully staffed gatehouse that is located at the entrance to the community.

This gatehouse provides security for the entire community. Visitor and vendor entry is closely monitored and access managed for all visitors.

There are six miles of hiking trails that wind through Southcliff connecting its neighborhoods to parks and to each other.

Take a break in your own backyard by spending the day hiking without leaving your community. Our trails take you from 2,500’ elevation to just over 3,900’ elevation, stroll through the parks, pavilions and overlooks and feel the nature just minutes from your front door.

In addition to the picturesque trails in Southcliff, Asheville offers hikers outstanding scenery with breathtaking views from the highest ridgelines east of the Mississippi River. The wide range of hiking opportunities in Asheville is one of the main attractions to hikers of all levels of experience. Among the attractions hikers can expect to find are:

- Ridgeline and urban trails

- Over 200 waterfalls in the mountains

- Mountaintop locations with 360 degree views

- Swimming holes and wading pools

The children’s playgrounds are enchanting places that spark imagination and creativity where children can explore, think and connect with each other.

Additionally, these playgrounds are wonderful places where children can also connect with nature and experience magical moments outdoors. Connected to the our green space they can kick a soccer ball, play corn hole, slide down the play set which is connected to the trees or chase salamanders by the creek. A day at the park will crate a lifetime of memories.

There are a number of covered pavilions that epitomize the Southcliff experience.

They offer a place for neighbors to gather, share stories and experiences and build lifetime memories. Neighbors can often be found enjoying each others company with friends and families in these great gathering places, which are beautifully built of wood and stone and include fireplaces for further enjoyment.

These areas are ideal for Southcliff residents to gather with their families, friends and neighbors in a beautifully, rustic environment.

Each of the five parks in Southcliff offer fire pits, grills and picnic areas.
